The reason that I do not post more here is because I can never remeber mine and then it takes so long to get a new one. I had a written cheat sheet with all my passwords, I even lost THAT!
One quick thing. I am having surgery unexpectedly on MONDAY. So it might be a while before I RECOUP enought to feel like getting on the computer.
My Redskins are falling apart. And it certainly does not help when one starter started shooting his mouth off. The only good in that is that I may win the bet with my Uncle Gene. WE do it in the summer and we guess what their final record will be. HE picked 3 an13, and I picked 7 and 9, so the way they are playing, I might win again. I WON last year. So that will be fun to keep up with.
i REALIZE I posted about hating passwords butI forgot those annoying letters in the boxes that you have to duplicate. AND I tried the other option, and that is worse. THEY say the letters while thre is noise or almost like someone is screaming.

Those darn passwords
So, why have I not written anything for a month, no many months?? For the simple reason that I could not remember my password, and could not get the link to change the password, to go through.
Finally, the password is something I will never forget. Life is tough these days. screening for a surgery in December, surgery in January. At least neither will mess up my actual Christmas or Christmas Eve and I never have plans for January.
About Christmas, my parents want my sister and I to make up Christmas lists. we are both adults, but what do we need?? Or want??? It is tough. And it is already November. so they are really pushing. A book I wanted, my sister bought it for Mom for her birthday.
So I will think about it and I am always open for suggestions.

Back on track
I was reminded yesterday, by a true friend that others are not worth the energy. That is so right and now I am sorry I wasted the post.
I have MANY true friends, ones I could call in the middle of the night, and I know it. Friends that go back to college (lots of years later), family and people who are family by adoption, meaning they are so close they may as well be family.
It is weird how we focus on the negative and not the positive sometimes. Not sure why that is. If it is cold, we want it warmer. When the summer rolls around, we wish for cooler weather. Food too cold, then we whine when the microwave or stove gets it too hot. On and on....
Just a reminder to me, and those around me, to focus on the positive things in life, life is too short.

The importance of TRUE friends
Within the last year, lots in my life has changed, some visible, most inside. But I am astonished at the number of friends who don't call anymore. One friend in particular, or should I say a person that presented as a friend, anyway at the same time typing an email that said "I am in this for the long haul", completely stopped emailing after that. Eventually changed that email. Moved without even giving an address. I allowed that to break my heart for a while and that I became angry. This was a person who, when others were not talking to him for a stupid reason, I was the one who said "I am here and refuse to do like the others". Now that has been flipped on me.
This was an old friend, someone I knew from college, which we realized was almost 20 years. This is the last time I will devote ANY energy to this person. I am better than that and have way too much bad stuff on my plate. There is no room for that mess. If that person ever sees this, I have some pictures of you as a little kid. I would be happy to mail them back to you...
I have people in my life who really are in my life for the long haul. I think after all these months I feel nothing but pity for you.

It has only been two days, but......
I miss my family! They were ALL just here on Saturday, but already the house is too quiet. There is lots of food left over. That wonderful cake that barely got touched is still here and I can enjoy it as breakfast.
I wonder when we will all get together, and hope it will be for a happy occaision. It was fun the other day trying to ID the younger ones, who had all grown up. Some were more difficult than others. Some looked so much like their parents, it was easy. Some that we do not see as much, were only ID'd because of who they came in with.
All total, we went through all the hotdogs that were brought (at least 40), Dad said somewhere around 60 hamburgers, and about 30 BBQ Chicken legs. I have not yet stopped to count how many people were here. But we estimated that to get a group shot would have to involve a ladder. That is alot of relatives all in one spot.
It was a great day and one I hope that we do not have to wait until next year to repeat.

Reunion Hangover
Now I have to start this by saying that there was absolutely no alcohol involved in this activity, but I am sure that everyone who was here today is very tired, a little sore, and exhausted beyond belief.
We came, we saw, and we ate...lots. And there is so much food left over. Almost 80%of a sheetcake, which I will enjoy for breadfast many mornings.
It was a great day, and I cannot wait til we do this again.
I am wiped out, so see ya in the morning!

Family
Tomorrow we will have probably somewhere around 50 people descend on our house, and they will stay pretty much all day. They will all be either my Mother's brother or sisters, their kids, or grandkids. Yep, we will all have some of their blood running thru us. My Grandma died unexpectedly.
One of my Aunts was determined that we have a theme, so we are doing the Olympics, but with our style of games. Water baloons, bocci ball, croquet, badmitton, volleyball, but we have medals all made up and prizes too. We also have Family Fued, and other games. It should be tons of fun and an event to remember.
We have been bringing out pictures by the hundreds, marking your initials on the back, so you hopefully will get them back. It is sad looking through some of the pics of family who has gone on to Heaven. And others who have had a rough life and now look so much older than their actual years. Sad stuff.
But there are also dozens of hilarious pics. Our family is crazy, and someone is always joking or playing a joke on someone else, like sticking bananas in their ears. Or people cramming in to a perfectly good photo right before the flash goes off. And more Christmas photos than you can count and can only distinguish by the fact that different clothes are on each picture, or the grandkids are a certain age.
I am sure that by tomorrow evening and Sunday we will all be worn out, probably a little sunburned, but with lots more pictures and even more memories. It should be a fun day, but I am going to bed early tonight to rest up before they all descend on our house. I will love every minute!!!!

FOOTBALL IS HERE!!!!
I am a Happy Camper, football season has started. OK, technically, these are games that do not really count, but after the dreary off-seasons of having nothing to watch on Sunday afternoons, action on gridiron is welcomed by those of us who truly love the game. Of course being a Redskin fan, this past weekend was glorious for me. Two of our best players were put in the HOF where they should be. (Oh, to non football people, that means Hall of Fame). But chances are, if you did not know that, you saw what this is about and stopped reading.
I loved the fact that most (John Madden said 95%) of the crowd in Canton wore Burgandy and Gold. I was at home cuddled up with my Redskin blanket. I have to admit, that from 8-9 I watched Big Brother, but I have to say, Colt Brennan shook up some people I think. He was fantastic. Todd Collins should be feeling a warm breath as Brennan is breathing down his neck I am sure.
How refreshing to see the Skins behind at the Half and actually coming Back to win. That was a change from last year when they would give the game away after Halftime.
Funny thing, I did happen to be channel surfing just at the perfect time to see my favorite Redskin Chris Cooley make a big catch. Maybe he waited til I was watching. I have often thought we had some ESP going between us.
And all the specials this weekend re-capping the 1982 Super Bowl season, I loved them, and recall fondly standing on top of my wheelchair as the bus went by. I drew a lot of looks, got very wet that day, and found out we weren't the only ones who thought of taking metro that day. It was an AWESOME day!!!
I love my Redskins, win or lose, but am so happy this weekend we got a win!!

CHOCOLATE ANYONE??
I am convinced that on the 8th day, or the 15th at the very least, God created chocolate! Just kidding. But is it not the best thing EVER!!! Friends make flake and go away, other people have to sleep when you are up all night long, other stuff can happen, but chocolate in ALL forms (currently being devoured by me: M&Ms, Bliss by Hershey, and Fudge from the Fudgery in SC) is always there.
I think I have made a decision, though not 100% convinced, about my surgery. I have several questions for my doctor, that will settle things. I have trouble sleeping, I cannot turn off my brain.
A really good distraction is that Training Camp has started!! Whoo hoo!!!! It makes me so happy to see those guys out on the field. I am sorry about the injuries the first day. One was Philip Daniels, a really nice guy. He tore his ACL and is out for the season. He is set to have surgery. I am praying that it is not too painful. I had that same injury, not from playing football but I just twisted it the wrong way.
Last year Dad and I went to Training Camp, and it turned out to be the hottest day in August. Dad got great pictures as he has a camera with a super photo lens. When we went to get them printed, he had taken about 50 or more pics of Chris Cooley, since he knew that #47 is my favorite on the current team, second only to the great Darrell Green. It was just funny that I ended up with that many pictures of one person, but of course I loved it.
And the Skins added the Dance Machine himself Jason Taylor. He should be a good asset.
I gotta get more info. on the new guys before I get in touch with my Uncle. We guess at the beginning of each season what we think the team's end status will be. I won last year!
Until the next time.........

Big thanks!!!
Big thanks to Tanner, for helping me figure out how to get that darn counter out of here!!! Now this looks like it is supposed to. Big hugs, Tanner!
Heavy thinking day...
When you have a very important decision to make, and you have been given a "few weeks" to decide, how do you distract yourself? I am currently trying television, and a program that I love. "The Closer", I had to start 4 times before I even was listening to it.
The question is this: my doctor has urged me to have a pump inplanted in my gut around to my spine that would give medication. I have argued about this surgery for years. The whole thing just makes me ill. This past weekend I spoke with someone who has recently (March) had it done, and that was helpful. But it also brought up some questions. YIKES!!!
So, chocolate has helped alot. I will not talk about how much I ate last week (down at my second house, my Aunt's in Richmond), but let's just say that the M&M business is making lots of money off my purchases. Books and magazines helped. I finished one book that was outstanding, and then had a few mags to keep up with. The computer helped ALOT. My addiction with Webkinz was fed big time. I was able to play with my little cousins (the ones that got me started), and I ended up showing some stuff to them that they had not found. Their Mom also told me that they only play with theirs when I am there. And that they wanted to come over early each day, not to see Nana or my Mom, they "just wanted to play with Tracey". That made me feel great.
I am leaning toward having this surgery, but man, I really dread it. But, enough of that. For those who wondered or emailed to check, my pelvis is not fully healed yet, and a big amount of the pain is gone.
It was driving me nuts not to be able to post here, but as is normal for me, I forgot my password. Had to re-set it, so now I am back.

I am here at Myrtle Beach, and loving every moment. For the past two days, I got to go out in the ocean!!! They have this cool aqua chair that you can use, made of PVC pipe and huge tires, it is wonderful. Someone else has to push it but when you get out in the waves, it floats!! Dad would take me out about 5 inches deep or so, and when a wave came, man, that thing would have floated away if he was not holding it. My sister clued me in on the fact that Dad was pushing the back part down in order for me to get wetter. Yesterday I was wet all the way to the top of my head!!
Someone would have to go out around 7 and reserve it from the life guard, but it was free. And you could use it for an hour, but if no one else had asked for it you could keep it longer. It was so much fun!! I may do it again at the end of the week, but I am not sure. It was awesome being able to go out on the beach and in the water. And so many people came up to ask how we got it, I thought we may have some competition to get use for it. They only have one for all of North Myrtle Beach. Crazy, I know.
Today I am taking the day off, a bit sunburned and tired, and we are going to Broadway at the Beach this evening. Should be fun. They have fireworks there every night.
Tough to say if I will slow down again this week to post here, we are having a blast!!

Sleep, blissful sleep!!!!!!!!
Today was the day after a mini vacation that everyone loves when you realize that you are home, in your own bed, and you do not have any appointments or anything that you have to get up for. So, I was awake for about an hour, took all the meds for this morning, went back to sleep until about 1, ate lunch, and then dozed off and on thru the afternoon.
Tonight I am realizing that I do have to get up at a certain time to be at an appointment, and I am dreading that, but after that I have the rest of the time to rest up for our trip to Myrtle Beach on Thursday.
I got my computer hooked up again this afternoon, and was able to play (make sure my Webkinz Sophie the Bear, was OK). After a burger and fries from the best place I know of (Five Guys), I am watching the Bachellorette and typing. I know who my favorite is, who I think DeAnna should choose, but he better get his act together. I think she should pick Graham, but if he doesn't start opening up, he may be a goner. Just my opinion, and unfortunately, she didn't ask me. Though I am still single and will be until I die I am sure, so maybe I would not be a good one for advice.
Well, until later........

Forgot to mention the super great thing that happened today. Tonight around 8, my little cousins that started this whole Webkins thing, came over and climbed in bed with me (one was laying against my side with his head on my shoulder, and the other was kind of lying on my stomach) and we stayed that way and I showed them my new rooms on the site, and showed them a few games that they did not know how to play. Tomorrow we have a "date" to get our pets and have them play together. I hope they know how to do that, I have no idea.
My Aunt got some pictures of us like that. I found out later that they had come from a pool party and were damp and cold. That is probably the reason they wanted to cuddle, no other reason. Oh well, I will take what I can get.
More rest for the weary

Today I learned that a good friend of mine is as addicted to those Webkinz as me, and SHE has 3! I am curious, they have a year "expiration" date. So, what does that mean? Is that when we learn about death? Or do we have to pay? I really want to go buy another one, but maybe I will wait until this one's April expiration. I'll let you know.
This has been so peaceful for me. I slept til Noon, watched a movie with my Aunt, made delicious fudge (when my sister asked me what I wanted for dinner - by then I was back in bed- I asked her to put some fudge alongside my pork chops. Everyone laughed.
I have a book I hope to finish tonight or tomorrow. Such lazy days, we leave here on Sunday, visit a doctor on Tuesday, leave Thursday for the start of our trip, our first night will be back here, then on to Wilson NC, a stop for the night, then the next day into Myrtle Beach.
More laziness at the beach. I cannot wait to feel the sun on my body. Not too much, but enough to make more freckles appear. I know, most people hate their freckles when they pop out in the sun, but not me. Once, when I was in college, I foolishly let someone do a make-over on me. I should have known I was in trouble when she said "I hate my freckles too". I went to lunch, met some friends who hated the non existing freckles, and then went to check my mail. A friend met me at the Post Office andsince we had the next class together, he volunteered to push my wheelchair to the next class. We went from the po up the side walk toward the DeMoss building. Now it was pouring the rain. I looked up to have a conversation with my friend, and Christiaan started pushing me faster. I asked him, what's wrong? He had this weird look on his face.
He said, something to the effect of: "Trace, dear, your face is running off, I have to get you into a bathroom". Not being a make-up wearer, I did not even think about the fact that it was affected by water. And now I knew how much make-up it took to cover up those beautiful freckles. NEVER again have I ever gotten a make-over.
For those who do not know me, I have freckles all over me. On my face and arms, it would be difficult to put a pencil eraser any place on my face, hands or arms without hitting a freckle. Those things are literally all over me. I even have them on my ears and eyelids!!! You will have to trust me, but I have brown dots all over me. I say it is all the chocolate I have eaten over the years finally popping out!!!
Case in point, about the chocolate: my Uncle just came in to find out if I wanted any mint chocolate chip icecream at the same time my Aunt was coming to ask if I wanted some fudge. Strange, but all my clothes still fit. We will see how long that lasts.
I hope your day tomorrow is filled with something or someone that you love as much as I love chocolate!!!

A vacation before my vacation....

As you probably figured out by now, I do not work. So, this afternoon, after picking up prescriptions and running some errands, we loaded up the van and came down to my Aunt's. Yep, the same Aunt to whom I RUN when things get really touch. We have been down here probably at least 5 to 10 times. It is peaceful here, and yet when her grandkids they kind of go nuts, completely our fault from tickled at them which only encourages them. It is a fun place and I love playing with Peyton and Jackson.
Of course I brought my computer with me, how else will I catch up on my Redskin news or be notified when tickets become available for the Dallas Redskin game probably to be in December sometime. I would give my eye teeth to be at that game, and know straight from the Redskins, that the only seats avail. will be the ones the Cowgirls turn back in, and those come in Wednesday before the game and they go fast. I don't care how much, how cold, how late notice, I want to be at that game this year. I have always wanted to go to THAT game (due to the old rivalry. Ah.....if that works out, I will be a happy woman.
I have gotten addicted to something I think will require a 12 step program in April. My cousin's children (the ones mentioned above) got me interested in those WebKinz things. They are stuffed animals that come with a code that lets you log onto the Internet and it is like a little world. You are given one room, a few things, and some money to buy the rest. And you can go all out with this. You can buy extra rooms to add onto your "house", you can buy (not real money "Kinzcash" that you earn by playing games, doing chores, taking care of your pet, etc. The games are geared so that kids are learning as well. They have questions of all subjects and there are also some games that are just plain fun.
I originally got this to spend more time with my cousins, and be able to keep in touch with something fun. I would go into their rooms while they were sleeping and help them rack up points, etc.
Then I got addicted. The kids now do not need my help and have come over and helped me some. Sometimes I go over and take their pets out of bed, so in the morning, they will be confused.
It only cost me $11 and it has been worth it. The kids called a while back and asked if I would take care of their pets while they are on vacation in July. They were very worried about this. I am curious as to what happens in April. On my "birth cert." for Sophie (little black bear) it says the dates are over next April. What are they going to do, just off her???
So, whenever you see one of these in the store, know that someone you know or at least read about, actually owns one and I am 37 years old. Pitiful. Gotta go, gotta see if Sophie is fed and doing alright. I was on there an hour ago, but they said she was sick, and I had to take her to the vet. She had strep throat. I know, my family just laughs at me......

I got the itunes thing fixed. Yay! Everything is all fixed and I can begin to get used to my new laptop. It is fun. Having only gotten a sprint card to give me high speed Internet in April, it is still a bit odd for me to be able to be on the computer before 5 PM, I usually waited til after business hours just in case doctors needed to call or other business. So when the phone rings and I am on the computer, it still startles me.
We leave for Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks. I am so excited I could bust. We are planning what to take (food is top priority, travelling food, we will get the rest when we are down there). It has been in the mid 90s here with the humidity putting it at about 107, so who knows what it will be like there. Of course it is kind of backwards here, as this is August weather, so who knows what the rest of the summer will be like.
I have been fortunate enough to have wonderful opportunities lately. The Redskins Beach Blitz, the coming vacation to the Beach, getting a new ipod, and I also got DVR with High Def. I can't wait til football season, can't wait anyway, but really can't wait because I have heard that is when I will love the High Def. the most.
Anyway, I tape stuff all the time so that when my body switches the days from nights (this happens regularly), I have stuff to watch. I also have a subscription to Netflix which I usually catch up on during the weekend. This past weekend I watched "Untraceable" (scary in the fact that that could REALLY occur, if someone was that messed up), "27 Dresses", and half of "P.S. I love you". Good weekend, topped off by the season opener of the Lifetime Show "Army Wives". If you have not watched it, you really should. Sundays at 10, at least here near DC. It is awesome! And I completely was bowled over by the ending of the opener.
So, I figured I would come up with a way to occupy my time further in the middle of the night when I am up. I started this blog. It is proving quite helpful in making me see the good things in my life while everything else seems SO WRONG. But this is not the place for that discussion.
Suffice it to stay that I may not be blogging a year from now. My dexterity is getting bad quickly, so I may be here on earth, just unable to type.
One other great thing happened today and it is only Noon. Actually two things. An old friend that I had been trying to find for years (we went to college together over 10 years ago) found me!!! That is wonderful (hi David, if you ever find this). And I got a very nice comment offering help with the aforementioned itunes problem (kudos Tanner).
I hope that all of you have a great day and that you are able to stay cool and safe (for those who are suffering from flooding).
Until tomorrow...

New items, the good and the bad
Free Counter
I got a new laptop a few weeks ago. Nice...Windows XP, I had heard horror stories about Vista. But some things are just so complicated to get switched over. For instance, iTunes. I got an IPOD a few months ago, and have had great fun putting more songs on it than I will ever listen to.
But guess what? When you change computers, there is some complicated process that you have to go through to get itunes to recognize you as the owner of the machine, because, though it downloads your library, you do not have access to it. So, when I plugged in my ipod, it took away all the songs I had ever purchased and all the other stuff. How annoying.
Supposedly tomorrow a family member is going to fix that. He found on itunes exactly how to do that. I will let you know if it works.
I had chinese food tonight. Yum! Dad's idea, though since Vietnam he cannot stand any of it. But sweet and sour chicken hits the spot every time.
My cousin came to visit today, and we laughed shared stories, talked about when we were little at Grandma's. Recently she was visiting someone and their home was very warm, that brought back memories to her of sleeping upstairs at my Grandparents' old farm house in the summer laying on top of the sheets in the blazing upper bedroom, hoping you could fall asleep, arms and legs stretched so far apart, hoping for any blast of breeze.
It was in the 90s here today, with the humidity making it well over 100. Yikes! Others told me, thank goodness I did not have to go out.
Well, ya'll have a good night.

What happens when you forget your password...

It is amazing how complicated life can be when you forget your password here. You have all these interesting things happen and you can't post about them, you know you will forget by the time you get a new password, and some people will wonder why you have not posted in days.
Well, I am 13 days away from leaving for a week at the beach. Myrtle Beach, SC. There is a great condo we found there last year that is accessible and right on the beach. By that I mean, open the sliding glass doors, go across the patio, and either step over a few lounge chairs, go to the pool, or go to "my deck" and down a couple steps to the sand. I call it my deck because I love to sit out there and read or watch people or sleep. It is so great out there.
The beach is so comforting to me, just the sound of it even. I got to thinking, and really I do not walk on the sand, swim in the water, but there is no place I would rather be. I LOVE it. Some are mountain or hiking lovers, I am a beach bum. Bum being the key word.
At the beach we seldom cook. We eat all food that is not good for us, at I already know what one of those stops will be. It is called the Fueling station. It is the best. They make every kind of pizza known to man, and then some. And it is pretty inexpensive. It is a buffet, so you can have all you want. And I forgot to mention their best pizza in my opinion. They make this pizza that is somehow even better than a chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven. Put it this way, last year when we had kind of a family reunion there, we just kept our eyes pealed for when they brought out new pizzas, and we kept eating them. They are heavenly. I better stop before I start to drool.
I hope everyone reading this has a vacation this summer, even if it is just a quiet day in your own back yard. And anyone near South Carolina, let me know, and maybe we can catch up!!
Now that I have re-established my pass word, I will be here more often. See ya!!

Whoops again. Who knew that when you went to re-read a post to make sure you were not typing the same thing over, that it would publish that post and you would have to start over???
Anyway, at the Tailgate Party, in Neptune Park in VA Beach, Redskin Legend Gary Clark was there. All day, the players would go up on stage, throw out some t-shirts and answer some questions, and then afterward, they came to the left side of the stage, and stood there and signed autographs for a long time. So those of us who had been there all day knew the system, so we did not even bother going over to see him on the stage, we just started a line where he was going to be afterwards.
However afterward, instead of joining the line, HUNDREDS of people just squished right in, kind of riot-like. I was yelling, telling them where the end of the line was, that Redskins fans were supposed to be polite (worked on some people they went to the end of the line). Then some people went around to the other side of the stage (in the street) to form their own line out there and that is where Mr. Clark went. Well, we were fuming. A bunch of us had been there for about an hour and we were jipped. So, even though I was down low (in my wheelchair), I would suggest things that finally got Gary to our side (we all started chanting his name, told him we were in the real line) and he came over. He signed something for a few people in front of m and then the strangest thing happened. The talk about the polite fans worked because without me saying one word, about 8-10 people all started yelling and pointing down at me saying "Hey, there is this lady here in a wheelchair who has been here for over an hour", and stuff like that. And just like the red sea, the crowd parted and Gary Clark himself walked through, and not only that, but he rememberred the year before that I had been behind the scenes and that he had wished me a happy birthday and hugged and kissed me on the cheek. I was stunned!!! A member of the "Possey" from the 80s recalled me????? I got him to sign my hat and left not rememberring that I had my cell phone in my other hand all ready to snap a picture!!
On the way out, 2 people stopped me and asked if I had gotten his autograph and said they were sick of waiting but that they had been hoping I would get through! You never know who is watching.
That is just one of the things that happened this weekend. Another, we had been standing in line to get autographs of some well known players for about 45 mintes when they cut that line off. We decided to stay in line in case the next batch of players were going to be even better. The best known player (in my opinion) had not made an appearance yet. Sure enough, a few minutes later they announced that Fred Smoot was going to be at our table iin about a half hour. Well,of course we stayed in line, and there was this huge rush of people trying to get in that line, which by now was about a 3 hour wait (yep, we basically signed up all day long, which is cool especially since I spent 6 years at Liberty University, LU, or as we lovingly said those initials stood for INE UP!!!). But we knew after the first year in 2006 that is what you do all day, and you either get used to it and talk to people around you, bring a book or something to do, or stay home. So we were ready. I got awesome pictures of Fred Smoot and one of me with him, which I would gladly post here only I have no idea how to do that.
It was such a fun weekend. I better get some rest. I turn more elderly tomorrow. Plus, American Idol is about to announce the winner........Go David!!!!! :0)

Sorry about my last post, I told you I was tired. Too tired to worry about spelling, that is tired to me. I will do better.
This past weekend was so wonderful. Some of the players remembered me, and that was incredible to me. It was probably the freckles, but it was neat that they knew me.

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WEEKEND!!!!!

I really appreciate the comment left by Jeff telling me that I needed to move my counter someplace else in order to not have it pop up every time I posted. I realize that would be a great thing to do, but after checking all the editing choices "posting, creating, edit, moderate, settings, and all under that, layout and under that", I can't figure it out. I tried a few other places to post it, but it would not let me save it. Oh well, thanks for bearing with me. I kind of like seeing that number there each time I come. Lets me know some one else besides me has read this.
My weekend started at about Noon on Friday. That is when we finally got on the real road (even when we left, while we were running errands around our area does not count, only when we are on roads that we do not travel on regularly do I feel like I am on vacation). We stopped at Chick-fil-A for lunch and to me that was a PERFECT start. My favorite fast food. Awesome sweet iced tea.
We got to the place to check in (I got this package that paid for our hotel room, free tickets to the Beach Blitz and also $50 gift card or Redskin merchandise). It turned into this whole thing where they were trying to say we did not qualify, and I was not sure it was going to work.
Anyway, it did, and our room was not only accessible but it was like this little suite. It had a bedroom with a living room and couch with pull out bed, and a kitchen, complete with dishes!!! Friday night we indulged in the best pizza, so good I have been thinking about that pizza ever since we got it last year!!
The convention center the next day was fun. We saw friends we made there in 2006 and have seen each year. That was fun. Then we saw people that we know in real life!!! The lady used to work for my Dad and her husband was there also. That was weird. I did a lot of strange things to get autographs, like yelling at big people who could've squished me, for trying to cut in line. Also, busting through the barrier when the players finished their "clinics" and were signing for kids, I had some people move the barrier and off I went!! I thought all weekend, "I am not from here, I am not going to see these people in the grocery store and probably not until next year, so I went for it!!"
I came home with another autographed football, a clock, a picture, license plate holder, football necklaces like for Mardi Gras, but these are burgandy and gold little footballs, a T-shirt (early bday present from my sister), a puzzle to do and then frame, a book about our HOF inductees, and lots of memories.
I was determined to have a funnel cake while I was there. At the tailgate party Sunday, by the beach, they had a band, some Skins would come out and they had a booth that sold funnel cakes. I got one and the wind starting whipping up. Yep, anyone who has had one is laughing already. That powdered sugar went EVERYWHERE!!!! On the guy next to me, the lady on the other side, on me, my 'chair, EVERYWHERE! I tried to block it from the guy on the left of me, because he looked kind of mad. The lady on the other side was just laughing. But then the wind became sadistic and just kind of blew in a circle. It was awful! But I finished all I could eat, anyway. When I got back to the hotel, I took my watch off and wondered how the band could have gotten so worn in one day. Yep, it was that POWDERED SUGAR!!! Mom found more today on the wheelchair and also on my bag that I was carrying.
I will post more in the next few days about my adventures this weekend. I had to post some of it. It was toooo much fun, and this is turning out to be a really good, relaxing, fun idea.
Have a great Monday evening! Kudos to those who have posted here. I have since changed the settings here so anyone can comment here, registered or not. I did not know that boundary was set.

Hey, anyone out there with any suggestions on how to get that counter off this post and onto the other side of the pink barrier on my page???

Any help would be appreciated....Thanks, I am new at this.......

I am so looking forward to this weekend, which is starting tomorrow. We are going to VA Beach for the Redskin Beach Blitz, kind of a fan festival, which I have enjoyed the last 3 years.
We have family there too, so it is extra fun. But being such a rabid Skins fan, I just have a ball. Waiting in line FOREVER for autographs, Bonding with other fans, and just getting to know some of the players. It is always so much fun. That would be why it is 1 AM and I cannot sleep.
I also got a new cell phone today. Super cool, cuz it can take pictures. And, since I had all my numbers saved to my SIM card, I did not have to punch them in all over again. That was sweet, and since we are still wth the van, my voice mail is already set up. So, after picking a screen saver (purple flowers, anyone who knows me knows PURPLE is my favorite color) and my ring tone (sounds like someone is knocking to come out, cracks me up), I was all set and have a cool looking phone to boot....Dad got a super deal for the family plan. And we got upgraded phones. Great deal all around.
I love playing with my electronic gadges. my iPod, my phone, and my computer. I finally joined the rest of the world and got a high speed internet card that goes into a slot on the computer and I am all set. Updates that used to take at least 12 hours, now take about 4 minutes.
I am not taking my computer with me this weekend, so I will talk to you on Tuesday or later. I think I see some doctor or the other Tuesday, so I am sure it will be Wednesday at least. Salt water taffy, funnel cakes, so some are thinking I am also coming home a different size!!! Oh yeah, and there is a pizza place across fom the hotel that I cannot wait to try in.
Until then, have fun, ya'l! Oh, and sweet tea has played a significant part of my week in keeping me happy. It is amazing what a little Sugar of Spleda can do for a girl. Also, this is the last week of being 36. I turn 37 next Thursday! Everyone start shopping!!!! :0)

Today's activities....
Today I will begin documenting the fun things in my life. When I get visits, what passes the time, what books I am reading, movies being watched, etc. It should be a fun journey and I am excited to begin it.
Today I am completeing the journey of setting up my new email account, spawned by getting a high speed internet card. FINALLY!!! I join the current Internet world.
I have been on here all morning, making sure that no one in my old address book has been left behind. Now they are only left behind if they want to be.
So, for today, that is it. I am now going to start reading my current book, "Where Are You Now?" by Mary Higgins Clark. It is a great book.
Talk to you tomorrow.
